The Bermuda Triangle is also called "the devils triangle". some believe this is due to aliens or other extraterrestrial activity, while some think its just a coincidence. scientists believe that there is no mystery to the Bermuda Triangle, that is nothing more then a scientific phenomena. most scientists believe that every disappearance can be logically explained with science. claimed to be a legend, an unexplainable number of ships and planes have been lost in this area. two examples of U.S. Naval vanishings are the U.S.S Cyclops (1918), and Flight 19 (1945) it is believed that flight 19 ran out of fuel while on their voyage, and it is unknown what happened to the U.S.S. Cyclops, although no physical evidence has been found of either. scientists believe that compasses in the Bermuda triangle point to true north, instead of magnetic north which explains why compasses just spin instead of pointing north. scientists attribute the loss of ships in this area to be due to reefs under the water, and with poor navigation by the crew the reefs may be hit, and sink ships. in conclusion, the Bermuda Triangle hosts and unexplainable number of ships and plane disappearances. it is still unknown why they have gone missing. The Bermuda Triangle does not have a specific size, it ranges from between 500,000 to 1,500,000 square miles.
