Family is of three types  nuclear family, single-parent family and extended family.   Nuclear family is that which consists of father, mother and one son or one daughter or it could be more. Single-parent family is a family in which either the mother or the father is taking care of there children. extended family is a family which consists of  father, mother, daughters, sons,grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.   most of the Indian family is Nuclear family.
