• Jijau Jayanti or Jijabai was Great Maratha emperor Chhatrapati Shivaji’s mother. Daughter of Sindkhed's Lakhujirao Jadhav, Jijau mostly known as Jija Mata or Rajmata. She was born in 1598 on 12th January, her mother was named as Mhalsabai.
• She got married to Sahaji Bhosle at a very early age. He was the chief commander who served the Nizam sultan. Though her in-laws were from a not so high standard background, her family had a high standard in the Yadav region.
