Quote :Rome wasn't built in a day
A young man was hired into a bank in the mailroom. The lowest position one could be in, but his foot was in the door. His father asked him if he would like to one day be president of said bank. The young man replied "yes".
So the story goes that the father had a pin made with the letter "P" on it and told his son to wear it to work everyday but to never tell anyone what it meant. It was of course to remind him that he was working to be president of the bank one day. His father told him that everyday try to find ways or do things that would bring him closer to that goal.
Well, many years later, his son did indeed become president of the bank. Never telling others what the "P" stood for, and even though other employers would make up their own ideas of what it meant. When he earned the position of President, only then did he reveal what the "P" stood for.
It was to remind him everyday of his goal, and to remind him everyday to work for that goal.
