[Onl-y Girl]
Answer:
When I was in middle school. I was a pretty good kid. I never got in trouble. I was pretty compliant and a decent student. Normally, I didn’t give the teachers any problems. At least, not until I started hanging around Jessie Mayfield. Jessie was a bad kid. He was always giving the teachers a hard time. He spent lots of time in the principal’s office. I don’t quite remember the details, I just know that Jessie and I started hanging out with each other. One of those times was on a class field trip. I think we went to the symphony. As you can imagine, as middle school boy, I was bored and so was Jessie. Then a mischievous idea came to Jessie. He talked me in to putting chewing gum on the teacher’s chair. Long story, short – I got caught, I got in trouble. I had to go to the principal’s office. My teacher and my parents, they said “this is unlike you why did you do this”. Well… It was Jessie Mayfield’s fault!
People influence people. If you have teenagers, you know this is true. You worry about the kind of friends your teenagers hang out with. The thing is, that doesn’t change at any age. The people we spend time with influence us, and we influence them.
