Short story on Anne bakes a cake

There was an orphan girl, anne. she was adopted by the cuthberts who loved her like their daughters. the ministers of the church hv come to live in that place. minister's wife is a good lady, she often teaches in local school. anne liked her very much. she had taught anne too. anne and marilla decide to hv the allans for tea. anne asks marilla that could she bake a layer cake, and marilla permits her. allans had to come on wednesday. the day came, anne had made the layer cake that mrng. after the other meals, mrs.allan took the piece of that layer cake, and when she ate it, a sudden expression crossed her face. but she ate it without saying anything. when marilla ate it,, she asked anne what had she put into that cake. anne said that vanilla flavor. marilla asked her to bring the bottle of it and when she brought, marilla said that it was her(marila) mistake. she had put anodyne liniment in that bottle.
this made anne very hurt that she didnt make a good cake. later mrs. allan showed sympathy to her and encouraged that it wasnt her mistake,
