Saturday - New York 5:30am…
Jensen was awoken to the sound of his favourite theme song as he received a call from Agent Barts (manager of CSI unit) informing him of a murder at Albany, 30 minutes from Jensen’s apartment.
Jensen walked into the crime scene, under the police tape, to face a crowded group of police crowded around a solitary body on the ground, with 3 distinct gun shots in the shape of a triangle around her heart. The victim was identified as Natalie Stackman, a 24 year old from New York City. She had a pale complexion with fair hair and perfectly shaped red lips. There was no sign of any marks on her body to indicate a struggle; she was placed in a perfect position on the ground, her hands resting perfectly on her stomach, as if the murderer had placed her in that position on purpose. Members of the CSI team had estimated her time of death to be around 2am that same day. It was time they caught this killer before he struck again.
Jensen spent the next morning in his office, looking for witnesses and video surveillance from around the area to help with the case. Agent Barts had completed a background check on Natalie and found that she and her (ex) boyfriend Kevin Simone used to own a home wares shop. Unfortunately the business collapsed after a messy brake up leaving Kevin in charge to run the business. Sadly things weren’t going to plan after he got into financial trouble after Natalie took all the money that belonged to the shop, this was definitely a motif to want someone dead.
Saturday – New York 3:34pm…
Jensen and the CSI team had located Kevin’s apartment and where outside, about to make their move inside and take this man down.
Jensen ran up the stairs with three people following, up to level two. Kevin’s apartment was number 24. Jensen carefully crept up to the door and looked underneath the door. He could hear movement and make out men’s voices. And then he saw a gun being slowly lowered to the ground. These people were armed and by the sounds of it they weren’t afraid to fire.
Jensen slowly began the count down until he would kick open the door. 3…..2……1
Jensen kicked with all his might as the door which flew open. All three of his man stood at the door faced with two men, bearing snipers. The men knew they didn’t stand a chance and lowered their guns. Jensen quickly located Kevin and quickly walked up to him and handcuffed him.
Jensen took Kevin back to the station where he confessed to everything. Kevin wanted revenge on Natalie, he wanted his money back, so he followed her back to her apartment and before he realised what he had done he had shot her three times.
Kevin went to a court where he was charged with murder and possession of an illegal weapon and was sentenced to life imprisonment.
