short story on stray animals
Answers
Explanation:
The small stray dog wandered the lonely road in the country town. He was starving, parched and dying to rest. He walked along the hard ground, his feet wound and his nose dry. He felt himself slowing down and wanting to give up. He sat down, and stayed stationary on a grassy patch beside the road. His nose twitched, and he looked around sensing something. He ran towards a puddle on the road, and once he got to it, he merrily started to drink. He was astonished to find a puddle when it hadn’t rained in months. All he wanted now was something to nibble on. He slurped all the water up until the ground was only moist.

He heard a rustle in a bush only a few meters from the road. He ambled over so he wouldn’t make any rambunctious noises that would disturb it. He peered over the bush and saw a wild chicken. It was pecking at the leaves on the bush. He moved to the side of the bush where there was an open and clear area so he could move in for attack. He waited, and timed it correctly so he would be able to catch his prey. After minutes he bolted, even though it was .The stray dog started picking at the meat, and heard some commotion from a distance. A pack of wolves were coming his way, but he was focusing on the chicken. He was casually eating away the meat, unconcerned on what was around him. Suddenly he felt something jolt into his rib. It felt like a bus just ran into him. A wolf had attacked him, and scratched him constantly until he could not move. Once the wolf had finished attacking, it backed away, and rushed over with his group, which were eating the chicken. The stray dog whined and was breathing heavily. His heart was beating at a fast rate, and his body was bleeding and aching. He couldn’t move at all. He stayed in the same position for the rest of the day , the stray dog was still in the same spot. He was aching very badly and had lost lots of blood. His heart slowed down. His eyes eventually started to close, and his breathing stopped. His heart beat discontinued, and his body stopped functioning. The stray dog slowly died from the wolf attack. He died without an owner, without being loved and uncared. Hopefully one day stray dogs will have owners and homes.
