This is a real incident of a teenager Zan Gaudioso. The narrator in this story is a teenager who finds it difficult to make new friends and adjust to a new place. He feels lonely and expressed.  After junior high school, the narrator joined the high school. He felt at a loss and lonely among new teachers and students. He missed his old school and old friends.

         One day his house caught fire. The whole house was burnt .Nothing was left he lost his cat also. The narrator went to his grandparent’s house with his mother. Next day, the narrator had to go to school wearing the previous day’s dress and borrowed shoes. He had lost everything in the fire. He felt embarrassed .The news of fire soon spread in the school. Everyone felt concern for the narrator they wanted to help him. They gave him all kinds of clothes, books and school supplies. Their selfless love and concern touched his heart .Soon he had many friends.

         The narrator still missed his pet cat. It was missing. After months when he and his friends watching his house rebuilt, a lady came with his cat. She brought happiness back to the narrator. Now the feeling of loss and tragedy had gone. He was grateful to life, his new friends and the kind lady. He regained interest in life.

• The author goes to a new school. He finds very difficult to adjust there.

• His house catches fire and everything is destroyed on sunday afternoon.
• He along with is mother goes out of the house but his mother goes again inside the house to save some important documents and photos of author's father. She was safe.
• Author's cat was not there with him. After this both author and his mother shifted to his grandparents house.
• Author had no books, no backpack so he finds strange to go to school.
• He regularly goes to his house which was destroyed. He missed hi pet cat.
• His schoolmates helped him by giving them clothes, books etc. He thanks them and also made friends.
• After some days, author was overlooking the reconstruction of his house. He saw a lady with a cat. The cat was his pet.
• He became very happy and thanks the lady.
