The sound of music part 2 is about BISMILLAH KHAN'S SHEHNAI.

Aurangzeb had banned the playing of the instrument Pungi in his court. But some people wanted to keep this traditional instrument alive so, they transformed it into a shehnai by making a long pipe like structure and adding more holes in it.they named it shehnai because it was played in shah's durbar for the first time so claaed sheh and nai because it was made by a barbers family and in hindi a barbeer is called nai.

Bismillah Khan learned to play the Shehnai from his maternal uncle. he used to go with his uncle to the nearby temple where his uncle played the Shehnai.

He grew up to become a famous Shehnai player.
