Oliver was born poor.He spent part of his childhood in a workhouse which was for the poor.One day he went to the cook and said his famous lines,"Please, sir, may I have some more?".He was sold to an undertaker and meets the Artful Dodger,and joins their gang and later realising that they were pickpockets,he continued and became one of them.One day Oliver was in a housebreaking expedition and he was taken in to a house where he found an old lady who turned out to be his aunt.He received a huge sum of money from his aunt and later lived a middle-class ,respectable life.
