Jean Arasanayagam was the prolific poet which depicts in her writings. She portrays the inherent violence in the human nature where the childhood games with pebbles turn into mob violence.

The pebbles turned into missiles and was responsible for the death who was trying to escape from his assailants, the ethnic race riots led by mob brought down by stones trampled to death.

in this poem ,the authour says '' it remembers childhood days, how we played pebble in under the tree, it gives many joy full to our mind'' but we growed great within us the pebble also growed more than people and it stand infront of us .the stone damages our mind .and also broken our hands and legs.
