The story tells about how the narrator her grandmother to read. The narrator a small girl used to live with her grandmother and tells that she used to love reading novel who at that time serialized in the newspaper she tells that her grandmother was a huge fan of that novel that every weekend she used to wait for that, and when came the narrator used to explain it to her as she was not able to rad and write. Once narrator went to a wedding in a neighboring village and had to stay their for few days and when she came back, she saw her grandmother low, at night she heard her crying and she told her when she was not there she wanted to read the novel but couldn't and asked her to teach her read and write and when the narrator said she is old to do so
