' I run away from Dover ' is a chapter from the novel David Copperfield. He is trying to sell his jacket which is finally bought by an old man for a Shilling and four pence. David arrives at Dover for staying in Miss Betsey Trottwood's house. Miss Trottwood takes good care of David and offers him to take bath, eat dinner and fall asleep. He is introduced to an eccentric man who discusses his future plans and shows him a room upstairs. In the end, Miss Trottwood locks David in a room with fear that he might run away.
