shortcut key for opening a template in MS word​

Right-Click on the Ribbon and select Customize the Ribbon. Click on the Customize button at the bottom (Keyboard Shortcuts). Scroll down under Categorise and select Commands Not in the Ribbon, it is FileNewDialogClassic. I have it assigned to Ctrl-N but you might want Alt-Ctrl-N.
