When I change to full screen (CTRL+Shift+J) shortcuts won't work. Neither CTRL+A, CTRL+V,CTRL+X, CTRL+Z or CTRL+Shift+J (to return to normal screen) work.
I do not see that problem with my Open Office system. Our versions differ (I use OOo 3.2) but I do not recall any others reporting this behavior. Try a different account on your Mac. ← Read details. I realize your symptoms are different than what's in that post, but the solution might be the same.
