HEY MATE!
Isaac Newton's first law of motion, also known as the law of inertia, states that an object at rest will stay at rest and an object in motion will stay in motion with the same speed and direction unless acted upon by unbalanced force

Hey there!
Newton's first law of motion states that :
A body continues its state of rest or of uniform motion in a straight line unless and until an external force acts on it.
It is also known as Galileo's law of inertia.
Example : Book lying on table will. only move when a force is applied on it b hand.
That's all! :-)
