I really like these kinds of questions.
So lets start....
Not at all, Career should not based on academic, it should be based on interest.
What will academic marks gives you?
»It just gives us tension as well as the pressure of our parents, teacher and society.
So how we can achieve something in our life with full of pressure. Nope we can't.
What will interest's give us?
»At least our interest give us passion to do good in our path. We'll have rights to dream, as we'll see our self on a good/higher post. That's also our interest which matters the most.
Our parents wish we achieve good in our path, and most of the parents just want the great marks in the study they even don't want to know what there kids want to be.
For example- There a child who's very good in sports and he want to be a footballer but he's parents want he just focus on the study and handle their family business. I'm sure for this reason the world lost the great footballer.
Now who's fault is this?
A child who want to follow his interest
or his parents who just want somebody to handle their business.
For me only interest matter most , I just want to follow my dreams instead making myself sad because of academic marks.
Academic scores just give us the paper of the marks.
Which only consist whole year marks.
Interest ability consists thousands of dreams, hopes and passions which is mostly required for success. No matter how many marks i got, only matters what i want to be.
There is the biggest example of the INTEREST ABILITY
BILL GATES-
Bill gates even fail in some of the subjects,
But now who don't know bill gates?
The man of the money
The CEO of the Microsoft.

In support to Interest ideas.
As everyone know education is a must to every student. At the age of 16-17 when students complete their 10th class, They have to choose one of the three streams either Science,Commerce or Arts.
At this particular stage students have to make up their mind that what they wish to be in future and also they need to think if they chose the stream of their choice, they will do it good or not.
Its my personal experience one of close relative wished her daughter to be a doctor or an engineer because those professions are highly respected and can give a good salary but, Her daughter wished to be a singer. She was trained very good and had secured many achievements in her childhood. She wished to continue her singing by taking Arts stream but, her parents forced her and now shes doing her 11th in Science stream as a repeater for the 2nd time.
Now her life is full of sadness as she her dream to become a singer is vanished and also she can't be a doctor or engineer.
It is very important to choose stream which a person likes as they would at least have an interest in reading them.
Now a days people feel that only Science stream as a good achievement whereas Commerce and Arts are not with so high rankings.
Actually this is a wrong thinking and it has made a bad effect in the mind of society.
Commerce students or Arts students are no where less. Today you hear the names of big business persons and also Chartered Accountants. This was only possible when they chose Commerce as their favorite subject even though when they had the ability to give good competition in Science stream.
Today a number of singers,actors,dancers we hear had taken Arts. Also language Teachers had taken Arts stream.
To be honest All streams are good better and the best of all only thing is students should be allowed to choose their own profession and work on the Stream to which their aim is.
Parents shouldn't force students to go in the particular or specific stream.
Let your child be whatever he/she wishes to be so that at least in that stream they will be able to do their best of all!
Another example I would like to share.
One of my friend wished to be a doctor and also her family never hesitated regarding her. They told her that whichever stream she would like to choose she can choose.
As her aim was to become a doctor she chose Science and also she appeared for NEET exam and guess what? She scored very well and she got seat in the medical college where she wished to be.
from the above example we can conclude that a person does good in the thing which he likes the most.
