Regional languages should be not made compulsory. Modern world is world of science, technology, research and trade and commerce. English has already taken over as the International Language; people have already started learning it. Regional language are not as evolved as English is. They lack the terminology to tackle the ever expanding horizons of the above mentioned fields. The amount of regional language that is required for a person belonging to that particular region can be learnt from the environment around. So learning of regional language should not be compulsory.
