The short story 'Two Gentlemen of Verona' gives out the message that one should resist from displaying one's personal problems. The two boys, Nicola and Jacopo, hide their problem from the narrator and do not wish to tell him about their weekly visits to Polenta to pay the cost for the treatment of their sister, Lucia.

I personally feel that one should resist from sharing and displaying one's personal problems as it makes one come across as needy. However, we should put in our best efforts to solve the problem at hand. If the problem is too huge to handle on our own, we should share it with trusted persons and family members and try to solve it with their help and support.
