Hello!❤️

The resistance of an ammeter should be low. An ammeter has to be connected in series with the circuit to measure current. In case, its resistance is not very low, its inclusion in that circuit will reduce the current to be measured. Infact, an ideal ammeter is one which has zero resistance.

Hope this helps

Answer:

It has low resistance

Explanation:

Ammmeter is used to measure the strength of current in an electric circuit. It is always connected is a line (series) with a circuit. Its introduction should not change the current, so it has low resistance.

It must be placed in series with the measured branch, and must have very low resistance to avoid significant alteration of the current it is to measure. By contrast, an voltmeter must be connected in parallel.
