no because I has now become a punishable act to beat student . I has now totally banned to beat any student even a small students

It is both write and wrong, it depends on teachers how they treat their students but according to me , the teacher should be friendly with students due to which students can share their problems and opinion with teacher fearlessly. But if student is out of control then its correct to beat him/her.
