There should be no reservations for jobs and seats in educational institutions as well as government organisations.
It is due to these reservations only that hardworking students don't get to study and work where they want to.
Inspite, the less hardworking ones get due to their reservation eligibility.
Also, reservations shouldn't be based on castes or financial status.
Here's a reason why :
We all know that some castes have suffered a lot in old times and yes they should get a compensation but reservations. Really ?
Reservations means you're selected even at a low criteria.
But, did we ever think that even these castes suffered, their mental capability is equal to others.
By giving reservations, we're spoiling them as low criteria is easy to achieve due to which they don't work hard.
Also, not achieving the original criteria means that their concepts are still not clear which affects their quality.
They might make unforgivable mistakes in future.
For eg. A doctor incapable of Liver transplant might try to be superior and act like he/she knows how-to but he actually became one by reservation and when questioned, might try to blame reservation system.
An engineer might make a mistake in making a complex or compound, later leading to horrible accident and when asked how did he/she became one if his/her concepts aren't clear, he/she might be reservation system.
It's the same thing again!
People's financial status might be weak but this has nothing to do with their mental capabilities and same might happen with them, if they became a doctor or engineer by scoring less than the limit, what happened with those who became one due to reservation ( SC, ST, OBC).
PROS
• In my opinion, No pros.
CONS
• This might affect the quality of profession.
• Poor quality may results in mistakes, and these mistakes might affect life of individual or a group of people.
• The ones who deserve to be might not be able to become one.
• This might destroy lives of some people as they couldn't become one just because they aren't eligible.
• The ones who receive the benefits of reservations, their upcoming generations also geet its benefits whereas the ones who don't get never get the reservations. This way some become too rich and others too poor.
Instead of Reservation, below mentioned can be done to help these people
• Free education [Though it is already mentioned in the constitution, it isn't still enforced correctly].
• Free training of a profession [There isn't any provision for this, if one came it might help these people.]
• Compensation in form of money ] Government can also get them a compensation of money instead of providing reservations]
• Most of all, if we can't abolish reservations, we should atleast reduce their percentage.
