Here is the answer =>

WE SHOULD ADD ACID TO WATER !!

The reason for this is that water and acid react with each other in a vigorous manner.
The reaction taking place within them is exothermic.
In this reaction , heat is released while boiling the water.
If we add water to acid , it can prove fatal , as water starts to boil and acid will start to splash all over.

But , if WE ADD ACID TO WATER , there are less chances of splashing of acid , and even if it splashes , it won't cause much harm as it will cause in the case mentioned above.

We should generally add acid to water and not water to acid.
Here is the right reason
if we add water to acid the first drop of water may react vigorously with water which may generate heat and harm the person but on the other hand, if we add acid to water this may not take place and hence save the person from injuries and pains....
