as u know that trachea as well as the food pipe r connected at a particular point inside the neck.when u r eating ur food pipe is open and when u r talking while eating both the pipes would be open,as u need the help of the trachea for speaking.when u swallow the food it dosen't know where to go, into the trachea or the food pipe.if it goes into the food pipe that everythings alright ,but if it enters the trachea ,u would start to choke.

that is why u shouldn't talk while eating.
