hi dude

There are too many letters. Letters that need address are business letters whether from company to company or from person to company or somewhere in between. Letter to a principle, it seems that there is a chain of information that a your proncipal already has your address. So I don't see any good reason that some one need to put their address on a letter to a principal. As an advisor, I usually write letters to superiors such as HOD of university department and I never include my address. Sometimes I fill forms for example when I am attending seminars and I put my address on the form if I am asked to do so. Sometimes you may need a common address such as ANNAMALAI nagar and area pin code. Finally I don't see any reason to put your personal address on a letter to a principal. I hope you will find this information helpful

hope it helps
