Adventure in a Banyan Tree is a short story, written by the most famous short-story writer Ruskin Bond. This story says about a small boy who lives in his grand parents’ house. There was a banyan tree in which he had a variety of birds and he got a squirrel as his friend.
The squirrel trusted the boy and he got rice from his hands. One day, when it was winter, the boy saw a fight between a mongoose and a cobra. Both of them fought fiercely whereas mynah and crow also interfered in the fight. Because of it, the crow got injured and the mongoose won in the fight and the mynah flew just by giving the sound of victory.
