KEEPING WATER SEPARATE

  1. Fill two identical glasses with water.
  2. Add 2 tablespoons of salt to the water in one class and still well.
  3. Add a few drops of food colouring to the Water in the another glass.
  4. Now,cover the glass containing the coloured water with a sheet of paper, turn it upside down and place it on the top of the glass containing water be shot.
  5. (Be sure yo do this trick over saucer or bowl).
  6. Gently pull the paper out from between the glasses the coloured water and the salt water will remain separate.

How does it work?

Saltwater is heavier than cold water, so the two stay separate as long as the boundary between them isn't disturbed. Try turning the two classes over, though the heaviest saltwater will now be on top, so it will flow down and mix with the coloured water.

#Hope it helps!
