HEY FOLK.....
Hydrogen peroxide [H2O2] has an ability to act as oxidising as well as reducing agent both in acidic as well as in basic medium.
LET us notice it's both behaviour one by one.
Oxidising Behaviour:
.PbS + 4H2O2 -------------> PbSO4 + 4H2O
Here, in above reaction PbS is oxidised to PbSO4.
Reducing Behaviour:
Cl2 + H2O2 --------------> 2HCl + O2
In the following reaction Cl2 is reduced to Cl-
