- draw a line segments mark point 0
- draw 2 unit from 0
- at that point construct 90° of 1 unit
- meet end point of the perpendicular line to 0
- so, 0B will √5 from Pythagoras theorem ( 2^2+1^2 = √5^2)
- take 0 as centre and b as end point cut the arc of √5 on number line
- hence , √5 is represented .
