Show how would you connect three resistors of 9ohm so that the equivalent resistance of the combination is 13.5ohm and 6ohm

Answer:

Given : three 9 ohm resistors

To find : arrangements such that equivalent resistance is 6 ohms and 13.5 ohms

Arrangement:

First connect 2 resistors in series and the 3rd resistor in parallel to the other 2 resistors.

So calculations come as

R eq. = (18*9)/(18+9)

= 6 ohm.

2nd case :

First connect 2 resistors in parallel and add the 3rd one in series with the other resistors.

Calculations come as follows

4.5 + 9 = 13.5 ohms.
