Given that the height =h units
Time taken=1s
let the acceleration be 10 m/s^2 (acceleration of earth is 9.81 m/s^2 so approximately 10)
from the second equation of motion we get
=>h=1/2×10t^2 (because u=0)
=>h=1/2×10 or 5.....(1)

Again, h=1/2×(10/6)t^2
=>h= (5/6)t^2....(2)

Comparing equation (1) and (2) we get
=>(5/6)t^2=5
=>t^2=6
=>t=√6
That's it the stone will take √6s to reach the surface of moon.
