                multiply both side by 100

             100x=12.999999 -eq 1

              again multiply both side by 10

               1000x=129.999........-e2

               subtract eq1 from eq2

              1000x=129.999.....

            -    100x=12.99999....

    900x=117.0

    so,   x=117/900
