Let x = 1.3737... -----( Equation 1 )

Multiplying 100 one both sides we get,

100 x = 137.3737... -----( Equation 2 )

Subtracting Equation 1 from Equation 2 we get,

100 x - x = 1.3737.. - 137.3737..

=> 99 x = 136

=> x = 136 / 99

Since the number can be expressed in the form of p / q, the given number is rational number. Hence 1.3737... is a rational number
