LET theta = x ( for simplicity)

\frac{1}{cos x } - cos x = \frac{1 - cos^2x }{cos x} \\

We know that sin^2 x = 1 - cos^2 x

\frac{sin^2x}{cos x} = tan x . sin x...............................( tan x = sin x /cos x)
