Since the last two digits of 1540 , i.e 40 is divisible by 4 , therefore 1540 is also divisible by 4 .

Since the last digit of the given number is zero , therefore , it is divisible by 5 .

Since , the value of the sum of the ones place and the hundreds place , and that of the thousands place and the tens place is equal , i.e - 1+4=5 and 5+0 = 5 , therefore it is divisible by 11 .
