Answer:

question no. 1.

by using Associative property of multiplication, we have

(a \times b) \times c = a \times (b \times c) \\

let a = - 18, b = 6 and c = -1.

(-18) × [6 × -1] = [(-18) × 6] × (-1)

= (-18)× (-6) = -108 × (-1)

= 108 = 108 hence shown

question no. 2:

{(-72)÷(-9)}={(-20)÷(-5)}×2

let LHS = {(-72)÷(-9)} and RHS= {(-20)÷(-5)}×2

lhs =  \frac{ - 72}{ - 9}  = 8 \\  \\ rhs =  \frac{ - 20}{ - 5}  = 4 \times 2 = 8

.°. LHS = RHS

hence shown
