Show that 2 and -1/3 are the zeroes of the polynomial 3x^3-2x^2-7x-2. Also, find the third zero of the polynomial.

1) p(x) = x3 + 2x2 - x -2

one answer is -2  

it means that (x+2) is a factor of p(x)

divide (x+2) by p(x)

you got x2 -1
