hey... Mate here's ur solution,
let,
the given equation be x² + 7x + 10

i. e ,

p ( x ) = x² + 7x + 10

Since,
p ( x ) = 0

therefore,

x² + 7x + 10 = 0

now put p ( x ) = 2

p ( 2 ) = ( 2 ) ² + 7 ( 2 ) + 10

p ( 2 ) = 4 + 14 + 10

= 28

Now,

28 ≠ 0

hence,

2 is not the factor of given equation.

hope it might be helpful !!

Hii....☺

Here is your solution.....☺

==================================

♦ To show 2 is not a factor of given polynomial.

In order to solve this question we just need to do is to put a value 2 in the place of x of the given polynomial.

=> x² + 7x + 10

=> 2² + 7*2+ 10

=> 4 + 14 + 10

=> 28

Hence, as a result we didn't obtained a value which is equal to 0.

Therefore, we can say that 2 is not the factor of the given polynomial.
