Show that :- (2t + 5)² - 40t = (2t - 5)²
Taking L.H.S
=> (2t + 5)² - 40t
using the identity: (a + b)² = a² + b² +2ab we get,
=> 4t² + 25 + 20t - 40t
Subtracting the like teams we get,
=> 4t² +25 - 20t
by this we can see that, 4t² - 20t +25 is making the identity of (a - b)² = a² -2ab +b²
So, we get
=> (2t - 5)²
Hence, L.H.S = R.H.S
(2t - 5)² = (2t - 5)²
Hence, proved
