2x +  \sqrt{5x}  + 1 = 0 \\ comparing \: with \: a {x}^{2}  + bx + c = 0 \\ a = 2  \:  \:  \:  \: b =  \sqrt{5}   \:  \:  \:  \: c = 1 \\  {b}^{2}  - 4ac =  { \sqrt{5} }^{2}  - 4 \times 2 \times 1 \\  = 5 - 8  =  - 3 \\  {b}^{2}  - 4ac > 0 \\ hence \: it \: has \: no \: real \: roots
