Answer:

p(x)=x³-8x²+8x+21

p(3)=(3)³-8(3)²+8(3)+21

=> 27-72+24+21

=> 72-72=0

so, we see that p(3)=0

therefore, 3 is the zero of this p(x).

hope it helps you....

Answer:

=> p(x) = -8x²+8x+21

put x=3 to know whether it is a zero of polynomial

=> p(3) = (3)³-8(3)²+8(3)+21

=> p(3) = 27-72+24+21

=> p(3) = 72-72

=> p(3) = 0

As p(3) = 0

therefore, 3 is a zero of polynomial
