Let us assume that 4+ √3 is rational then it is in the form of p/q where p & q are coprimes and q is not equal to zero
4+ √3=p/q
√3=p/q-4
√3=p-4q/q
p-4q/q is a rational number but √3 is irrational this contradicts our supposition therefore our supposition is wrong
Hence 4+ √3 is irrational
