In continued proportion, middle terms are equal.
Now,
48:60::60:75
The multiplication of the extreme no.s and mean no.s must be equal.
So,
48*75=60*60
3600=3600
These products are eqaul, then these no.s are in a continued proportion.

Hope it helped ^_^

Answer:

48,60,75 are in continued proportion.

Step-by-step explanation:

To show : 48,60,75 are in continued proportion ?

Solution :

Let a,b,c are in continued proportion then,

a:b :: b:c

i.e. a:b = b:c

or \frac{a}{b}=\frac{b}{c}

Cross multiply,

ac=b^2

So, Condition of continued proportion is ac=b^2

Now, Take a=48, b=60 and c=75

48\times 75=(60)^2

3600=3600

Condition satisfied.

Therefore, 48,60,75 are in continued proportion.
