Answer:

To check that they are propoertionate or not

We will find the product of extreme and mean

6*63 = 198

9*19/5 = 34.2

So they are not equal and not propertionate.

Given:-

6 : 9 : 19/5 : 63

To show :-

That they are in proportion or not.

Solution:-

If four numbers let "a" ,"b","c" and "d" are in proportion.

then, the product of their extreme (a, d) is equal to the product of their mean (b, c)

Now , write them in simplest form:-

6 : 9 = 6/9 = 2 : 3

19/5 : 63 = 19/5 : 63/1 = 315 : 19

since, 6 : 9 19/5 : 63

therefore, 6 : 9 : 19/5 : 63 are not in proportion.

Or,

product of extremes = product of means

6 × 63 = 378

9 × 19/5 = 171/5

here, 378 171/5

hence, they are not in proportion.
