if possible, let 7+2√3 be a rational number

hence

7+2√3=p/q

2√3=(p/q)-7

2√3=(p-7q)/q

√3=(p-7q)/2q(a rational number)

therefore √3 is rational number

but we know √3 is irrational

hence our assumption was wrong

therefore 7+2√3is irrational
