Step-by-step explanation:

→ Mark as brainliest answer.

→ (7-3)! = 7!  - 31

→ 4! = 7! - 31

→ 4! = 4 × 3 × 2 × 1 = 24

→ 7! = 7 × 6 × 5 × 4 × 3 × 2 × 1 = 5040

→ 24 = 5040 - 31

→ 24 ≠ 5009

→ (7-3)! ≠ 7!-31

Question :-

To show that (7-3)! = 7! - 3!

Answer :-

Concept applied :-

(!) represents factorial. This is a concept in mathematics where the number is multiplied by every number below it.

Example :-

3! = 3 × 2 × 1 ➡ 6

Solution :-

Here we have to prove that

(7-3)! = 7! - 3!

Finding the value of LHS (Left hand side of the equation) and RHS (Right Hand Side of the equation) separately,

LHS :-

➡ (7-3)!

Subtracting,

➡ (4)!

➡ 4 × 3 × 2 × 1

➡ 24

RHS :-

➡ 7! - 3!

Finding the values separately,

➡ (7 × 6 × 5 × 4 × 3 × 2 × 1) - (3 × 2 × 1)

➡ 5040 - 6

➡ 5034

Clearly, LHS ≠ RHS

Hence,

(7-3)! ≠ 7! - 3!
