2 × (Middle term) = First Term + Last Term

Let, Add First & Last Term

(a-b)^2 + (a+b)^2

= 2 (a^2 + b^2)

The value is equals to twice of second term.

So,we can say that [a - b]^2 , [a^2 + b^2] , [a + b]^2 are in A.P.
