In an equilateral triangle, A = B = C = 60°

So, cotA = cotB = cotC

=> cotA + cotB + cotC = 3cotA = 3cot60°

As cot60° = 1/√3 ,

3cot60° = 3(1/√3) = 3/√3 = √3

Therefore cotA + cotB + cotC = 3 in an equilateral triangle
