show that if the earth attracts two bodies A and B placed at the same distance from the centre of the earth with the same force , then their masses are equal ?

Let m1 and m2 , be the masses of the two bodies and M be the mass of the earth. Let the distance of the two bodies from the centre of the earth be 'r' . then if F1 and F2 are the forces experienced by the bodies , then....

F1 = GMm1/ r²

F2 = GMm2/r²

If F1=F2 , then

GMm1/r² = GMm2/r².
